About this website:

This blog is about bringing you an assortment of projects and ideas for children’s activities and overall family enrichment. I combine the skills I have learned, and continue to learn, from my three worlds: an occupational therapist, a children’s ministry volunteer, and as a mom.

I started this blog in late 2020 after our world as we knew it changed because of COVID-19. My family, as I’m sure yours did too, had to change a lot of plans because of what was going on in the world. We were unable to do some of the activities we planned with our daughter because of being stuck at home. To adapt, I came up with themes that included special activities, food, books, and videos that we enjoyed as a family. This website has “Themed Days” where you can go on vacation with your family while staying at home. These themed days are meant to make fun memories with your family while spending time together at home. A few examples of these themed days include camping, beach day, tea party day, and train day, to name a few. There are lots of free resources and printables to enhance your day.

This website also offers a year-long Bible study for kids complete with videos and downloadable PDFs with ideas for crafts to go along with the Bible lesson. The purpose of this is to learn about the Bible and then make a craft or do an activity that enhances the lesson to make what was just learned stick.

As this website continues to evolve, more free resources will be added. More recently, I created digital downloads for purchase such as The Fruits of the Spirit Bible curriculum for kids and an ABC Activity Book that emphasizes speech/language skills and fine/gross motor activities.

I hope this blog will help enrich the lives of your family and create many lasting memories!

About me:

Hi! My name is Kristin. My husband and I live in Texas and I am a stay-at-home mom with our one and four year-old daughters. I love white daisies and have a Goldendoodle named Daisy, hence why I named this website Daisies and Doodles. I like to spend my free time talking to my nieces and volunteering with the children’s ministry at our church. I also love to travel, attempt to be creative with my cricut, sew, be outside, and spend time with my family and friends. I graduated with my Masters in Occupational Therapy and worked full-time prior to having our girls.
